Lunch Reminders - Lunch (34 minutes)

Parents can we please request that you remind your students (for those that have your permission to leave campus at lunch), to be respectful to people and businesses they attend in the community and return to school on time. We continue to see students returning to school excessively late.

School Council

Dr. Egbert School Council meet monthly to discuss student learning and make decisions that impact our school community. Meetings are virtual and are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM. Parents and guardians in our school community are welcome to join. The first School Council meeting of the 2025-26 school year will be on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM.  Parent Council can be reached at drgmegbertschoolcouncil@gmail.com. Please come and join this tremendous group with which we enjoy a strong partnership. No commitment is required and everyone from of our community is welcome to attend.

Forms | September 15 Deadline

Please log on MyCBE and complete requested forms as soon as possible so we have accurate records for our students.

Athletics Updates

We are excited to share that boys’ and girls’ basketball has officially started.  We look forward to a great season of teamwork, skill development, and school spirit.  

For all athletics tryouts, please ensure that your child comes prepared with appropriate athletic attire, water, and a signed copy of the Annual Authorization for Athletic Tryout (check all sports your child would like to try out for the school year). We encourage all interested students to participate, regardless of experience.

School Fees

Your child's fees have been assigned, and you should be able to make payments. Fees are due starting in September as fees for complementary courses are used to run those classes. Payment of fees can be made online using your MyCBE account after fees have been assigned. 

The CBE provides parents with flexible payment options, including:

  • Online | Fees are available to be paid once registration for services has been received and entered.  MyCBE accepts VISA, MasterCard, VISA Debit or Interac Online. Payments can be made throughout the year in the amount that best suits your financial situation.
  • Cheque | You are encouraged to use MyCBE to pay all fees. Cheque payments can be made at the school if this is not possible.

No child is ever denied access to an education in the CBE because of an inability to pay. There are several ways to be considered eligible for a waiver. Applications can be made online at https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/fees-and-waivers/pages/waivers.aspx. You can also contact the main office at Clarence Sansom School for more information.

Parents as Partners BBQ

Please join us for our Parents as Partners BBQ Friday, Sept 26, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.  This is an informal event and will provide you with the opportunity to meet your students teachers.
