Good afternoon Egbert families,

Reminder - Transportation Registration - Now Open 

Families are now able to register for school bus service for the 2025-2026 school year. Registration is available using your MyCBE account.  

Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025, for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. 

Registrations will be accepted after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 22 deadline will be delayed. Confirmed routes will be posted in late August. For those who register after the June 22 deadline, it may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus. 

Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025. 

Lost & Found  

Our lost and found is overflowing with clothes, shoes, lunch kits, and water bottles. Please encourage your child to check the lost and found area if they are missing anything. We will be donating any remaining items on June 20.

Grade 9 Farewell

Grade 9 Farewell event will take place on June 25 in the gymnasium at the school.  The formal program will begin at 2:45 pm. Guests with tickets can begin entering the gym at 2:15 pm. Due to capacity restrictions, students are limited to three tickets for their family. Unfortunately, extra tickets will not be available. Following the ceremony, parents will have time for photos with students. Doors will re-open at 6:00 pm for the farewell celebration and dance. Only teachers and Grade 9 students will attend this portion of the event.

PAT Exams | Reminder - Afternoon Attendance Following PAT Exams

We would like to clarify expectations around student attendance during the afternoons following PAT exams in June. While families do have the option to authorize their Grade 9 child to leave school early on these days, classes will continue as scheduled with valuable instructional time being provided. We are committed to ensuring Dr. Egbert School continues to meet the instructional hour requirements outlined in the Alberta Education Act, and all afternoon classes remain part of our official school schedule. We strongly encourage students to stay for the full day, as every hour of learning is meaningful. We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to provide a strong finish to the school year.

• Tuesday, June 17 - Grade 9  Math - Part B
• Wednesday, June 18 - Grade 9 - Social 
• Thursday, June 19 - Grade 9 – Science
• Monday, June 23 – Grade 9 ELA – Part B

School Fees Owing  

As our school year is quickly drawing to a close, we are asking parents and legal guardians to pay outstanding fees through their MyCBE account.
