Good afternoon Egbert families,
Please see as follows for important reminders and dates to remember:
Hitmen – Be Brave Game
On February 26, all students at Dr. Egbert School will be attending the BE BRAVE Calgary Hitmen Game for Anti-bullying. Field Trip forms went home on Friday. If your student is in attendance, they will be attending the field trip.
School Messenger Communications
Some families have recently stopped receiving school communications via our mass communication tool, School Messenger. Blocking the call can happen if you intentionally or accidentally mark an email as spam or junk, or a system blocks our emails. It can be helpful if you add your usual senders to your address book, then your system will recognize the messages as safe (your child’s teacher email, school email and cbecommunications@cbe.ab.ca that will help to ensure you receive CBE system messages too.
School Planning Survey
The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback from families on school planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget, and school fees. When students, staff and families work closely together, students experience greater success. We will thoughtfully consider all the feedback we receive in making decisions about school planning. Survey responses will be used only for the purpose stated in the survey and anonymity will be protected when sharing survey results. Personal information is collected under section 33(c) of Alberta’s FOIP Act and is subject to the privacy sections of the FOIP Act.
Fees Update - Collections | 2022-2023
Central Fees has informed us that ALL outstanding 2022-23 transportation and lunch supervision fees will be sent to collections, this month. The CBE uses a collection agency called “Groupe Solution Collect”, and if parents receive phone calls, these are not scam. Please be aware of the impact of this for yourselves.
We would like to remind all parents to check their MyCBE Account for fees relating to 2022-2023 fees which are still outstanding, and any 2023-2024 fees added for the current year for field trips, clubs, etc.
