Good afternoon Egbert families,

Please see the following for our weekly communication.

2025-2026 School Year

Moving or Changing Schools?

If your family will be leaving Dr. Egbert School for the 2025-2026 school year, we ask that you please email the main office at drgladysmegbert@cbe.ab.ca to update us with your plans.

Dr. Egbert School follows the Calgary Board of Education traditional calendar and the first day of school for students will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Registration for the fall for students new to Dr. Egbert School is underway and we encourage you to register as soon as possible to help us with planning. Registration can be completed online through your MyCBE account, or through the website at www.cbe.ab.ca.

For your planning purposes, please see as attached published CBE calendar of non-instructional days:

Open House

If you know someone who will be new to Dr. Egbert School next year, please let them know about our Open House taking place on May 1, 2025 in conjunction with our Celebration of Learning event. Check out our Open House page for more information!

Accessing Academic and Assessment Information Online

Although report cards are only published twice a year, families can always access achievement information through MyCBE and are also encouraged to reach out to our teaching team to discuss how we can work together to support our students. If you are looking for current information about how or what your student is doing in class, log in to MyCBE with your student to ask them to help you understand what they’ve been working on or if they need any help to complete overdue or missing assignments.

Helpful links to current assignments, assessments, and attendance information:

  1. Log in to MyCBE and look at completed work, missing work, the variety of assessments, and the comments or outcomes associated with them. https://www.cbe.ab.ca/support/Pages/MyCBE-PowerSchool-Attendance.aspx
  2. While in MyCBE you can access marks and report cards as well as attendance tracking for absences and lates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yN7aNET71a4
